The Little Unicorn - Lost.

My latest picture of the Little Unicorn is all but done now, just some tweaking and then it's ready to go into the Etsy shop.  A story is starting to form here and I'm enjoying working through the ideas in my head.

The weather has forced me to take time off from the Farm and to be honest, I've really needed the break.  Physically I was overdoing it all and my muscles just ran out of energy!

I hope you are really taking a rest, for it often happens that we don't follow our plans for the break and our intentions melt...
Lovely little unicorn! I'm curious to see and read something more about his life and adventures!:)x

Beautiful work! I love how you captured the pensive look, whether to go back across the stream where all is known and light, or to forge ahead to the other side where naught is known and is dark, yet exciting.
I am so glad you (were "forced" to) take/took some much needed down-time. I wouldn't be surprised to find you posting about some new creative and vibrant ideas your rested creativity has whispered to you...

He looks quite wistful doesn't he? I would love to hear his story. The trees remind me of ones in a 1930s painting I saw recently. Lovely.

Don't overdo it and when you are "resting" let it be no more than painting and drawing.

Have you ever read The Last Unicorn by Peter Beagle. It is a wonderful story and this beautiful picture took me straight back to it :o)
